I like to use the browser ‘Read Aloud’ option when I’m studying. I have it set to a fast speed. It means I can sit back with a cuppa and write notes on my iPad, and surf a little, and I have fine tuned my mouse to scroll gently downwards.
Image my surprise when I heard this:
“Whilst hashes are described in terms of the number of bits making up the hash, they are usually stored and displayed as hexadecimal values, with every four bits represented by a single hexadecimal value (0–f). So the 128-bit MD5 hash
1100 0111 1111 0100 0101 0101 1110 0010 0111 0111 0000 0100 0011 0110 0100 0110 1111 0111 1101 1101 0110 0111 1000 0001 1001 1100 0110 1000 0000 0101 0011 1111
is stored as the 32 character hexadecimal value
c7f455e2 77043646 f7dd6781 9c68053f.”
Yep. She read out every single digit.
